Katrine Behrend is thrilled to join the beautiful force that is d9 Dance Collective. She is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah where she received her early dance training with teachers from Ririe Woodbury Dance Company and Repertory Dance Theater. In the spring of 2007, she received her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Washington with a double degree in Dance, and Community and Environmental Planning. She works in community outreach and arts education, and has taught creative arts, dance, and zine-making to youth in Utah, Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Washington. Since moving to Seattle four years ago, she has danced with New York based company, Adele Myers and Dancers; the University of Washington’s Chamber Dance Company; and has trained and performed with several local dance artists including Amy O’Neal, Tonya Lockyer, Mark Haim, KT Niehoff, Lasara Jarvis, and Carrie Sargavakian. In January 2008, she will be choreographing a new work, and teaching workshops as an artist in residence at Caldera, an arts center in Oregon that fosters creativity among underserved youths and adults.

Lori Dillon has been a member of d9 Dance Collective since 2004. She has trained and performed with contemporary dance makers including Pat Catterson, Lorry May, Ed Groff, Wade Madsen, Pat Graney and Molissa Fenley. Lori is a former company member of Li Chiao-Ping Dance and Jin-Wen Yu Dance, both based in Madison, Wisconsin. During her tenure with these two companies, she performed in over two-dozen different dances and toured to Taiwan, South Korea and several major cities in the U.S. Lori has been a principal member of pinkk, "a performative experiment of sight and sound" by local choreographer Laura Curry, since February 2004. Now, Lori is collaborating with Curry on the creation of the newest incarnation of pinkk, titled Performance Memoirs, due to premiere in Seattle in March 2007. Watch for the tour of this interdisciplinary work at a hotel room near you.

Jody Kuehner moved to Seattle 3 years ago from Tampa, Fl. where she graduated from the University of South Florida with a BFA in Modern Dance Performance. From 2001-2004 she danced in Tampa with Moving Current Dance Collective and Guadere Danza under the direction of Elsa Valbuena. Now living in Seattle she continues to create and explore as a dancer/choreographer. Jody works as Velocity Dance Centers Office Manager and is in her 3rd Year dancing with LAUNCH Dance Theater and is also a founding member of Left Field Dance Collective. Jody joined the lovely ladies of d9 in 2004.

Ricki Mason moved to Seattle in 2003. Since then she has danced for BetterBiscuitDance, KT Niehoff, and Laura Curry. Currently, Ricki dances in d9 Dance Collective and directs LAUNCH dance theater. Her work has been commissioned by The Yard on Martha's Vineyard and The Bridge Project, and has been presented by Velocity's SCUBA and On the Boards' Northwest New Works. Ricki teaches queer social dancing at Century Ballroom.

Laura Prudhomme has been working with d9 since September 2006. She is a recent transplant to Seattle from Albuquerque, NM. While in Albuquerque she danced and taught with Keshet Dance Company and Buen Viaje Dance Company at the North Fourth Arts Center. Laura is also a founding member of Albuquerque based PutAttention Dance Collective. Originally from Memphis, Laura performed with Metal Velvet Dance Project and Project:Motion. She was also an original member of the now defunct, Breeding Ground. Laura received her BFA in Theatre and Dance from the University of Memphis.

Naomi Russell has embraced movement exploration since childhood, and was privileged to attend the University of Utah where she earned her BFA in Modern Dance in 2000. A member of the nationally recognized Performing Dance Company while at the U, she performed works by Molissa Fenley, Tandy Beal, and Abby Fiat. Following an injury, she turned to bodywork to rehabilitate and is now a licensed massage practioner and craniosacral therapist. In Seattle she has danced for Acorn Dance, Alethea Adsitt, BetterBuscuitDance, Ricki Mason, Lucia Neare, Walrus Performance Productions, and Jenna Bean Veatch. Naomi is also a member of Outsider's Inn Collective, an itinerant theatre company that explores the beauty of the written and spoken word.
